What we like
The complete package. The P4 Power made battery its whole story. The X8 Power pairs the same capacity with faster charging, a newer chipset and a longer update promise. Interesting detail, this phone is understood to be a rebadged version of the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max that recently appeared in Japan, so the hardware pedigree is solid.
The charging speed deserves its own mention. A 10,000mAh cell with slow charging would be a punishment. At 100W it becomes practical.
What to think about before buying
Weight. Physics does not bend, a battery this size makes a heavy phone, and one handed use all day will tire your wrist. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 is efficient rather than mighty, gamers chasing maximum frames should look at the pricier X8 Pro instead. And it is week one, launch phones sometimes ship with software rough edges that patches fix over the first month.
