You get a current generation chip, vivo’s generally clean approach to the segment, and the service network that comes with one of India’s top selling brands.
Watch the final pricing against the Poco X8 Power launching two days later. If the two land within a couple of thousand rupees of each other, the Poco takes the battery crown and the vivo takes the balanced pick position. That is the real September budget fight.

The Vivo T5 5G looks like a sensible, unexciting, very sellable phone. In this segment that is a compliment. Wait for the first street price and the first proper reviews before ordering, but keep it on the shortlist.
